Croydon hosts "National Apprenticeship Week 2019" Event

Croydon Works in collaboration with Croydon College and Job Centre Plus will be hosting a series of event on Tuesday 4th March 2019 to celebrate national apprenticeship week called "Chooseday Tuesday". The days events will be hosted at Croydon College and is targeted at businesses, would be apprentices as well as parents and guardians who want to know more, the day will be broken up in to 3 parts 


10:00am - 12:00pm Schools Exhibition:

An opportunity for Schools and College to come down and meet local employers across various sectors hosting interactive workshops, taster sessions and workshops about apprenticeships and their benefits. This is a perfect opportunity for students who are considering alternative routes besides college and university to see whats out there. 12:30pm - 2:30pm Business Networking Lunch 

Are you a small business who is considering taking an apprentice or a large business interested in learning about the support available? This event is for you, with key themes including council projects around apprenticeships, Croydon's "Good Employer Charter" and information around how we as a council can support your business hire an apprentice, this networking event is aimed at businesses of all sizes in and around Croydon with an interest in the borough, to register your interest get in touch HERE


3:00pm - 7:00pm Public Exhibition 

Moving away from the traditional recruitment fair, we will have a number of key businesses showcasing a variety of jobs  in their sector, from Construction to tech, here is your opportunity to see what a career in these industries looks like, with interactive stands and a number of workshops, this is the place to be to kick start your apprenticeship journey.
