Highfield House provides accommodation for up to 27 people who require nursing care and support on a daily basis. The home specialises in looking after people who are medically highly dependent due to their complex physical and/or neurological disorders.
As a Healthcare Assistant you will be responsible for assisting members of the nursing team in providing the highest standard of physical, psychological, social and spiritual care for patients, their relatives and friends within individual care plans.
The postholder should be able to work both days and nights in rotation.

At Highfield House our residents range in age from 18+ years and have high dependency nursing needs. Many of our residents have severe physical neurological disorders (spinal & brain injury), and many require some form of invasive and non-invasive ventilation.We expect our staff to deliver the highest standard of care to our residents.
Previous experience is preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided for candidates who can demonstrate that they are keen to work as a Heathcare Assistant Caring for people with high dependency nursing needs.
In return staff are offered a comprehensive/ full training package so your commitment and interest in ensuring that you personally deliver high standards of care is essential. As an HCA you will be required to work rotational day and night shifts, during the week and at the weekends.
All shifts are 12 hours (8am-8pm or 8pm-8am). You will be required to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week (although additional shifts will be available if you wish).
We can also accept candidates that wish to work only night shifts.
Highfield House provide a free staff Mini Bus, the pick up and drop off point are a few minutes from Purley Station.
