Support Workers at Independence Homes provide all service users with the highest standards of care and support.   Ensuring service users are treated with respect, dignity and in a way that enables and promotes their independence as individuals.  Ensuring Independence Homes' policies and procedures are adhered to and requirements of the Care Quality Commission are met.  Support workers will also be responsible for ensuring service users’ needs are met through ad-hoc shift leading and mentoring less experienced employees through on-the-job training.


Person Specification:

  • Numeracy and literacy level 1
  • Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual.
  • Self-confidence and ability to manage challenging situations.
  • IT literate.
  • Strong organisational, time management, planning and communication skills.
  • Flexible, professional and positive approach to multi-site working.
  • Proven reliability in terms of full attendance and timekeeping.
  • Driving license preferable but not essential.
