THE COMPANY

In 1981 we started providing support and accommodation for young people in Croydon who faced homelessness. Over the last 35 years the needs of people we meet have become more varied and more complex. We have learned a great deal by listening to those we have worked with and adapted our services to meet their evolving needs and aspirations. Our services combine support with accommodation to ensure that after a period facing homelessness, young people move on to independence with all the skills they need to make the most of their lives.

THE ROLE

CAYSH is committed to providing safe and secure accommodation for young, vulnerable clients with a range of support needs, including mental health and those with complex needs. Advice and Support Officers inspire and guide young service users to improve their life skills, self management and self confidence, whilst on their journey to sustainable independent living.  They develop trusted, professional relationships while helping young people to plan and achieve their goals.

To ensure our work impacts positively on young people, we operate with core Competencies which outline what ‘good’ behaviour is which include ‘taking responsibility and action’, ‘building effective partnerships’ and ‘analysing information’.

We seek motivated and talented people to join our team. To be considered and be successful in the role, the ideal candidate must demonstrate proven experience of supporting vulnerable people and developing and implementing high quality, person centred support plans.
