THE COMPANY

Axis is a dependable property services partner. We work with some of the UK's largest building owners, landlords and facilities managers to provide strategic building repairs, maintenance and improvement across all property sectors.

THE ROLE

The purpose of this role is to work with the Apprentice team learning the skills and gaining experience of the plastering industry whilst studying towards completion of NVQ courses.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

Working with a fully qualified and experienced plasterer to:

The following are a selection of the key tasks and responsibilities in this role. Full job description will be supplied once you have expressed your interest:

  • Ensure and undertaking any recording of work, and administration required by Axis standards and timescales
  • Report any Health and Safety issues and outstanding defects to your Supervisor, Contracts Manager, Health and Safety team and Apprentice Master
  • Ensure plastering work is delivered in a professional manner, in line with Axis Core Values and Equality standards
  • Undertake plastering work to a safe, clean and healthy standard
  • Learn how to cost Plastering work with Axis Mentor, identifying cost reduction methods
  • Ensure College Course attendance is 100% and college absence communicated to your line manager and apprentice master every time you fail to attend college
  • Always wear your PPE while working and follow H&S instructions
  • Pass all college exams and projects in each year of college otherwise your apprenticeship will be terminated
  • Put together and maintain a tool kit so that in the end of your apprenticeship have all essential tools for your trade

THE CANDIDATE

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • ESSENTIAL: GCSE A-C in Maths and English 
  • Good communication
  • Presentable
  • Positive attitude to work
  • Attention to detail
  • Driving Licence by end of apprenticeship
  • Clean DBS
  • Right to work and live in the UK
