PCSG provides a broad range of business analysis, economic development & strategic advice to our public and private sector clients to support their development and strategy ambitions. Our clients include: local authorities and local enterprise partnerships, private and other public sector interests in the residential, sport and leisure, energy, retail, distribution, education rural Estates and others.


Over the last 18 months, PCSG’s involvement in strategic advice to maximise delivery of economic development, regeneration and development projects using digital technology continues to grow. We’re now looking to further expand our team.


You will be involved in its ongoing development, working closely with our leadership team to build our relationships with clients, ensuring we continue to provide them with market leading advice. You will have project development and management responsibility, also working with other members of the team to develop their skills.


This is an excellent opportunity to work in a truly multi-disciplinary business to develop new business relationships and deliver excellence for our clients in the public and private sectors.You will have Degree or post-graduate degree in Economics, Planning, Local Government or related subject or experience and significant post-graduate experience in an economic development / economics / policy environment.


Job Requirements (Responsibilities and Accountabilities)

  • Maintaining and building positive client relationships
  • Delivery of projects relating to local authority strategy, economic development and strategic planning throughout the UK
  • Delivery of economic assessments and appraisals, business case development across public and private sector requirements,
  • Excellent understanding of socio-economic principles associated with development and infrastructure
  • Good client and network relationships
  • Effective bid writing 
  • Good communication and facilitation, including authoring reports and coordinating inputs.
  • Stakeholder management and leading stakeholder workshops
  • Delivery of desktop and workshop-based discovery sessions
  • Manage project budget and project teams
