Reedham Children’s Trust provides support for vulnerable and disadvantaged children and has done so for 175 years. We adapt our services as social needs change, always seeking the most innovative and effective ways to help. Collaborating with grassroots organisations and schools we offer practical, emotional and inspirational support, helping to raise aspirations and transform the lives of vulnerable children.

We invest in young people who need our help: with projects ranging from funding places at nurturing boarding schools, to offering programmes in day schools and the community aimed at developing leadership, confidence and resilience. We support them through a relationship that spans the length of their school years – empowering these young people to achieve a brighter future. 


The purpose of the role is to develop and manage digital communications and website to help raise the profile of Reedham’s work. To maximise the power of our digital presence. The key areas to manage of this role are in website/digital presence, and fundraising/marketing.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Creating and editing website and social media content such as blog articles, case studies, campaigns and events
  • Managing the website ensuring it is up to date and continues to reflect and enhance organisational goals
  • Continuously reviewing impact of content and campaigns created on the website and social media through website reports and Google Analytics, for example
  • Research and seek to develop and drive traffic to the site through current media and news stories
  • The development of innovative and creative digital assets, using Adobe Creative Cloud, to help communicate our messages and drive traffic through our digital channels
  • Actively seek and obtain information from the team to enable the production of regular and engaging content to present and publish online, to promote our vision and work
  • Produce creative reports and case studies, and assist in the design, looks and feel our annual report.


Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • At least 2 years’ experience in marketing and communications role
  • Experience in website design and maintenance
  • Experience of managing social media accounts in a professional capacity
  • A passion for creative writing and developing new ideas
  • Experience in graphic design, using Adobe Creative Suite packages such as Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign
  • Relevant experience and knowledge of web content


Working days Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. (with some flexibility)



  • 5% employers pension contribution
  • 33 days holiday, including bank holidays, pro rata


The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
