THE ROLE

We are seeking to appoint a maternity cover Reception Class Teacher for 3rd February 2020 to 21st July 2020. This post would suit an inspirational, self-motivated and energetic practitioner who has a passion for providing quality education for all children.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Create an environment where children are keen, enthusiastic and totally engaged in their thinking
  • Teaching and learning is exciting and stimulates and extends children's thinking
  • Provide an environment that challenges children, support their learning and values their achievements 
  • Plan appropriately to meet the needs of all the pupils, through differentiation of tasks/having the highest expectation of every child, believing that every learner has unlimited potential for development
  • Teach classes of pupils and ensure that planning, preparation, recording assessment and reporting 
  • Maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom
  • To plan and deliver the curriculum within the framework of present school policies and those of the National Curriculum, both in short and long term planning structures
  •  To plan and resource lessons which will encourage the development of children learning. In particular to encourage children#s independent use of resources and involvement

THE CANDIDATE

  • Qualified teacher status essential
  • Experience of primary school teaching desired
  • High Level of organisation skill sand ability to take on new ideas
  • Ability to plan, teach and assess effectively to a high standard
  • Ability to identify successful inclusion strategies for all children
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the primary school curriculum 
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles of assessment and effective record keeping
  • Possess the necessary interpersonal skills to help develop and maintain good relationships with pupils teaching and non-teaching staff, parents, governors, outside agencies and the wider community
