The Jancett Group of Day Nurseries commenced in 1968 at the home of our Founder Directors.  The need for quality day care was very quickly established and Gaytime Day Nursery, originally in Carshalton, but now in Wallington was opened in 1969.


The company believes that staff should work in partnership with its customers and employees to promote a caring and supportive network. Staff are given opportunities to grow and develop into mature professional practitioners.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work as a team member

  • Look after the children’s need
  • Plan play opportunities appropriately for children’s age and stage
  • Monitor children’s progress
  • Build positive relationships with the parents and external professionals
  • Promote a positive, enabling environment that meets the needs of all the children
  • To be positive about training and upskill as and when required



  • Have a clear, enhanced DBS
  • To be positive about training and upskill as and when required
  • Generally a Playworker will need to hold a Level 2 in Early Years or Playwork qualification but we will take on someone who if they are willing to train towards the qualification

Shift patterns

Breakfast Club: 7.15am to 9.00am

Afterschool club: 2.30pm – 6.30pm

Holiday Club: 7.15am to 6.30pm (on shift patterns)
