THE COMPANY

Mighty Men of Valour is a charity that works with children with disabilities, mental health issues, learning difficulties, or in need of support generally.
 

THE ROLE

Are you self-motivated, resilient and patient, with excellent communication skills? Mighty Men of Valour are seeking part-time Support Workers. The job is ad-hoc hours/ zero-hour contract. There is potential to build up client and hours if suitable for more, but we cannot guarantee these hours.

 

We provide respite service; the role is to take an individual child out into the community and teach them day to day skills such as safety awareness, danger awareness, healthy boundaries, interpersonal awareness and how to act around other people. The child can have outbursts sometimes as they are SEN.

 

THE CANDIDATE

Requirements

  • Current Clean DBS
  • It is essential to have at least 6 months of professional experience with SEN / Mental Health because of the severity needs of the children.
  • Safeguarding Training within 2 years (certificate required / proof of completing)
  • Report Writing Experience

 

OTHER INFORMATION

Saturday and Sundays (Possibly AD-HOC Weekday hours)

 

The shifts can be roughly 3-5 hours long and most of this work is on the weekends, however there are weekday shifts available sometime
