London Skills & Development Network (LSDN) is a not-for-profit Social Enterprise, we provide adult education and community learning across London and surrounding areas. As well as managing and delivering a diverse range of education and training programmes and courses, LSDN also offers a range of consultancy and capacity building support services to the education and training sector.
The London Academy of Sports Science (LASS) programme is intended to provide learners with a broad introduction to working in the fitness industry. The aim of the qualification is to develop the necessary knowledge and skills to professionally prescribe, plan and deliver safe and effective exercise programmes within a gym, private or health club environment as a Gym Instructor.
What you will study:
The programme lasts for 6 weeks and starts multiple times a year:
Tuesday to Friday: 10am - 4pm
Good written and spoken English skills are required. The minimum English Language skills equivalent required are:
You must have experience using cardiovascular equipment as well as fixed and free weights within a gym environment
You will complete an initial assessment as part of the enrolment and registration process to assess your suitability for the programme. We will support you with any English and maths needs throughout the programme.
The programme is delivered as a mixture of classroom, gym activity and online delivery (2-3 days online and 1-2 days classroom/gym).
