THE COMPANY

Love Grass is a new and exciting company, with a unique offering to the food market. We import and supply an unknown but highly nutritious food called Teff, 

 

Teff, also known as ‘Eragrostis Tef’ or ‘Williams Lovegrass’ is a tiny seed native to Ethiopia and Eritrea. It is the most ancient domesticated grain having originated between 4000 BC and 1000 BC. For thousands of years the Ethiopian people have used Teff as the main ingredient of their staple food ‘Injera’ - a sourdough bread with spongy texture.

 

 

THE ROLE

A relatively new but already award-winning social enterprise with a focus on bringing to market innovative gluten free and plant-based food, produced from the ancient grain Teff and Ethiopian Coffee. Working with thousands of cooperative farmers in the horn of Africa, we produce and distribute innovative food products which have been awarded in 2018 as the UK’s most innovative good for you products of the year and in 2020 won gold medal at the FreeFrom food competition.

 

Looking for experienced sales representative/manager, with the drive and experience to help us achieve our national and global sales targets.

 

 

Sales Representative/manager, Job Responsibilities:

  • With proven sales experience ideally in the food and drinks sector, or a passion for customer service born from the appreciation of our products and mission.  
  • Always keeps at heart our desire to improve the wellbeing of the thousands of farmers we work with and the experiences of our target customers, while in focused pursuit of our commercial growth target.
  • Either has experience or willing to learn the effective use of modern sales and marketing technological tools such as Hubspot.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • A good grasp of the competition and market trends to help us develop and refine our product quality and service.

THE CANDIDATE

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Good experience or a strong desire to understand the health food and drink market and trend in the UK and abroad.
  • A team player who can openly share experiences and work with a young but driven team.
  • Self-motivated, able to analyse market trends and meet sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of retail market, ideally health food and beverage market.
  • Able to build lasting relationships
