In brief, the Pension Protection Fund’s main function is to provide compensation to members of eligible defined benefit pension schemes, when there is a qualifying insolvency event in relation to the employer, and where there are insufficient assets in the pension scheme to cover the Pension Protection Fund level of compensation. The Pension Protection Fund is a statutory fund run by the Board of the Pension Protection Fund, a statutory corporation established under the provisions of the Pensions Act 2004. To help fund the Pension Protection Fund, compulsory annual levies are charged on all eligible schemes.
The opportunity for a Transfer Administrator has arisen to join PPF's busy Payments and Transfer team, to support the transfer of pension scheme data to the PPF in an accurate and timely fashion.
The role will put our customers at the heart of everything you do, you will ensure that data is accurately analysed, validated and loaded to help support the transfer process. All member data will need to be handled securely and if an issue arises ensure it is dealt with proactively and collaboratively so that the right members are paid the right amount at the right time.
Our ideal applicant will have experience of managing and analysing data from within the pensions sector, specifically with Defined Benefit (DB) pensions.
You will have advanced Excel skills, including the use of formulae and analysis functions, strong analytical skills of significant amounts of data, the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, and also be able to take a flexible approach and adapt to change
