Team Leader - North Project

THE COMPANY

PTI UK is a Leading provider of accommodation, support and training services for young people leaving care and seeking asylum. We Work in Sussex and Greater London ( with a base in Croydon). We have worked with local authority teams since 2004, helping over 300 young people make the transition into independence. We have a Community Interest Company, with a mission of helping young people in the community experiencing disadvantage and isolation. We have excellent professional relationships with a wide range of statutory and third sector organisations.

 

THE ROLE

  • To lead and line-manage a small team of Project Workers in the North Project (and volunteers and students on occasion) to include recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisals, training, quality checks and performance management.

 

  • To liaise with external professionals and neighbours in the best interest of the organisation and residents.

 

  • To provide a casework management function to ensure that staff fulfil their obligations in line with service model contract requirements e.g., monitoring weekly support hours.

 

  • To ensure accurate and professional client records are maintained and to ensure that young people’s monthly and quarterly progress reports are completed to a good standard.

 

  • To oversee the support planning process so that all young people obtain the support they need and achieve positive outcomes in order to overcome adversity, achieve their goals and fulfil their potential, and to support the pathway planning process with partner agencies.

THE CANDIDATE

  • Experience of leading staff
  • Experience of partnership working
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
  • Ability to effectively deal with complex and challenging environments

OTHER INFORMATION

  • 18 month fixed term contract (extendable)
  • 26 days annual leave + bank hols
