THE ROLE

The Trainee Site Manager will assist in helping the delivery of the project, be an effective communicator and will be given the opportunity to successfully lead and develop a team.

 

Assisting in controlling all aspects of H&S on site, your key responsibilities will include assisting programming work schedules and monitoring building progress ensuring compliance with regulations and cost limitations. You will help manage site inductions, method statements, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and permits to work. Your remit will also include logistics planning, plant, and labour resources management as well as progress meetings with site team and subcontractors.

 

This role is at least a 9 month contract and you will eventually gain your SSSTS/SMSTS tickets.

 

 

THE CANDIDATE

The role is for a Trainee Site Manager, so someone looking to take their next step in their career in construction will suit, but you must have the following:

 

  • Experience of assisting on residential/commercial projects
  • Contractor or Developer background.
  • Project leadership qualities and exceptional soft skills.
  • Strong health and safety awareness and management.
  • Hold a CSCS card
  • Have full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment - Hard Hat, boots, hi-vis, gloves & goggles)
  • Be hard working, reliable and punctual
  • Have good communication skills and be able to work alone on your own or as part of a team
  • Able to provide at least 2 working references
