Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Employment Pathway

Job role

• Offer support for the school’s students before, during and after their lessons.
•  Aiding students with their understanding and participation in tasks.
• Help promote each student’s love of learning.
• Actively taking part in team meetings.
• Always follow the regulations pertaining to safeguarding.
• When required, support individual’s needs, including assisting with a wide range of medical and occasionally, personal care tasks and physical support where needed (Training will be provided in giving medical care and support)
• Working either on a 1:1 or group basis to support learning.

To be considered for the exciting opportunity, you will need 

·         Child Care Experience – Through personal or professional experience.

·         Special needs experience would be an advantage – Experience through family, friends or professional environments.

·         Great interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine, caring attitude.

·         An energetic attitude where you want to get involved wherever possible.·         

·         Flexibility with required working patterns

·         A willingness to learn and have a genuine enthusiasm to make a difference.

·         Unemployed or on a low income to meet the funding criteria for the course
