Croydon Works Partnership, Job Brokerage Project - Privacy Notice

 

Croydon Works Partnership (Partnership) is a job brokerage service that has been established to assist those who are seeking employment. This project aims to assist local residents of Croydon, by placing in contact prospective employees and employers.

 

The brokerage will act as a:

 

  • A single point of contact for employers with live vacancies;
  • A single point of contact for people who are job-ready and looking for employment; and
  • Matching job-seekers with suitable vacancies and facilitating engagement with employers and training providers.

 

The brokerage service will share information for the purpose or ascertaining Service User’s suitability for positions available through the brokerage service. The brokerage service will use the information you provide place you in contact with prospective employers and training services.

 

Through the creation and operation of a brokerage service with selected partners, the aim of the Council’s to ensure that Croydon residents are best placed to access suitable work and build their economic resilience, hat links employers to high quality, job-ready potential employers and training services.

 

What information will the Partnership require and how will it be used

 

To provide these services to you will need to provide information about yourself and your employment and educational history and qualifications. This will include:

 

  • Your name;
  • Address;
  • Contact Details;
  • Qualifications;
  • Employment and training information; and
  • In some very limited circumstances information regarding any criminal convictions or health issues that need to be taken into account when working to provide with a suitable employment or training opportunity.

 

You will be asked to provide this information when you seek the assistance of the brokerage service and it will only be shared will prospective employers, training organisations and members of the Partnership with your consent. You may withdraw this consent at any time.

 

Your information will only be shared with employers when the brokerage service has identified a vacancy suitable for you.

 

When information is processed and shared it will using secure data storage and exchange methods. Those who secure employment, their information will be stored for the duration of the project for the purposes of producing management information (for example to produce anonymised statistical reports) while those who we are unable to secure employment for will have their information securely disposed of after a period of 12 months.

 

Finally the Partnership will therefore:

 

  • fully observe the requirements of the Data Protection Act (DPA) regarding the collection and use of your information;
  • meet legal obligations in how your information is used;
  • collect and process your information as described above;
  • ensure that your rights are able to be fully exercised under the DPA;

- including the right to be informed that processing is being undertaken;

- the right of access to your own personal information;

- the right to prevent processing in certain circumstances; and

- the right to correctly rectify and/or remove information which is regarded as incorrect information)

 

  • The Partnership will take appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard personal information; and
  • Will not transfer your information it outside of the EEA.
