We are recruiting a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprentice, working in a small team this will be an excellent opportunity for the right candidate. 

Hours of work - 35 hours per week, 8:15am – 4:15pm Monday - Friday   - Term Time Only (39 weeks)

 

 

Under the direction/instruction of senior staff: provide routine general clerical, administrative, financial support to the school.

 

Duties will include

 

  • Undertake reception duties, answering routine telephone and face to face enquiries and signing in visitors.
  • Assist with pupil welfare duties, looking after sick pupils, liaising with parents/staff etc.
  • Assisting with arrangements for visits by school nurse, photographer etc.
  • Provide routine clerical support e.g. photocopying, filing, faxing, emailing, complete routine forms.
  • Maintain manual and computerised records/management information systems.
  • Process orders, invoices, credit notes and income.
  • Input claims for additional hours
  • Undertake typing, spreadsheets and other IT based tasks

The apprenticeship learning for this opportunity will start within six months of the successful candidate starting the role. 

 

The school is looking for a candidate who 

 

  • Is eligible for the apprenticeship - Maths and English GSCE passes
  • Good understanding and ability to use relevant technology
  • Induction/basic skills.
  • Good numeracy/literacy skills.
  • Excellent communication skills together with the ability to communicate fluently in English to fulfil the requirements of the post.
  • Keyboard/computer skills.
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults.
  • Work constructively as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.
  • Displays commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to fundamental British values and an awareness of how these can be promoted in direct work with children
