HGV Driver Loaders required to help ensure operatives carry out all scheduled and ad-hoc work.
To assist in the supervision of the contract, ensuring that the requirements of the contract specifications are met and to assist the Service Delivery Manager and Supervisor in all aspects of the contract management in line with operational requirements, Healy & Safety and company procedures and legal obligations.
Full-time and part-time shifts available. 5am start until finish. £16.57 per hour
Purpose of the role:
To help ensure operatives carry out all scheduled and ad-hoc work as required, and also to assist in the supervision of the contract, ensuring that the requirements of the contract specifications are met and to assist the Service Delivery Manager and Supervisor in all aspects of the contract management in line with operational requirements, Healy & Safety and company procedures and legal obligations.
Please note: Two days per week is the minimum requirement for any part-time role, but you would have to complete the scheduled work. If that means two long days, then you would be paid the hours worked according to your driver's log.
Key Accountabilities:
- You may be required to load, rather than drive, depending on the operational requirements of each day.
- Ensure that you are ready for work at the beginning of the shift, wearing the appropriate protective clothing and uniform necessary for the tasks required.
- Collect all missed bins and clear any spillages.
- Report all Health and Safety issues to the Service Delivery Manager/Supervisor, ensuring that the appropriate documentation and reports are completed and forwarded without delay.
- Act as ambassadors by liaising with customers as required, politely addressing complaints or enquiries, and reporting complaints as necessary.
- Report to the Service Delivery Manager/Supervisor any instances of waste regulation abuse by commercial or trade premises.
- Ensure the team comply with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure the team fulfil Health and Safety responsibilities by adhering to the requirements of the company's Health and Safety Policy and Safe Systems of Work.
- Report in person to the operations office at the end of each shift, detailing any vehicle defects or issues on the round.
Knowledge and skills:
- Manual Handling of Heavy Objects (with training)
- Customer-oriented/service delivery focused
- Good communication skills
- General numeracy and literacy skills
Experience:
- Preferably working knowledge of the waste industry
Qualifications:
- Good literacy & numeracy skills.
- Driving licence HGV Class 2 (up to 6 points maximum)
- DPCP Card Tacho Card
