Highways Maintenance Operative Apprentice

The duties of the role will include:

• Pursuing your studies to gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours of a highway’s maintenance operative
• Being responsible for the successful completion of your apprenticeship and gaining work-related qualifications, including your End Point Assessment
• Working with the site team to deliver works required efficiently and to a safe standard
• Working in conjunction with the site team to ensure that all tools and equipment are looked after, stored safely and securely and that any defects are reported to your manager
• Reporting any incidents, accidents or points of concern to your line manager or the site management
• Working as part of a team on site as required, and taking instructions from site management

What skills and experience do you need?

As a Highways Maintenance Operative Apprentice, you will ideally have a grade 4 and above in both Maths and English GCSE. You will be reliable, hardworking and have a genuine interest in the construction industry. Good communication and the ability to follow instructions is also required for this role.
