The Contracts Supervisor ensures that the company’s operational activities are undertaken according to the contract specification. They must also seek to deliver peak performance in terms of quality, quantity of work and health & safety requirements.

 

The role will be responsible for the supervision of the cleaning staff to ensure that all tasks are delivered to a high standard and the required schedule. The role holds the responsibility for monitoring the cleaning staff to ensure that the correct methods are being used and that Health and Safety requirements are being observed.

 

Full-time, Wednesday to Sunday. £16 per hour. Full Clean Driving Licence essential.

Start/Finish time: 8.45 am – 5.15 pm

8.5-hour shift which includes a 30-minute unpaid rest break

Salary: £16.00 per hour

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

General management of staff to include a proactive approach to: -

 

  • undertake the daily operational supervision of the cleaning staff.
  • Staff timekeeping and attendance.
  • Arrangement of absence and annual leave cover.
  • Arrange work schedules.
  • To deal with, and action, all day-to-day telephone calls, enquiries, messages and complaints.
  • Monitor cleaning duties
  • Carry out quality audits and monitor performance.
  • Performance management and annual appraisals.
  • Assist and report any disciplinary and grievance matters to the Business Manager.
  • Organise refresher and new starter training sessions, with internal training records monitored and maintained.
  • Regular team briefings with all staff.
  • Take part in the recruitment and selection process for new
  • Adherence to health & safety regulations and the company's health & safety policies.

 

General contract supervision to include: -

 

  • Planned, general inspections and the creation and analysis of contract performance reports, taking corrective action where necessary.
  • Maintenance of stock requirements and monitor stock usage and the co-ordination of stores deliveries and collections.
  • Liaise with Head Office regarding any incident, accident or unusual occurrence.
  • Provision of quotations for additional or specific works, as requested.
  • Ensure the accurate completion of all contract administration.
  • To undertake daily checks of all work areas, identifying areas where standards are not met, give feedback to individuals and revisit once they the task has been notified as completed 

 

General Premises Management to include: -

 

  • Ensure the security of premises, plant, equipment, and machinery at all times.
  • Effective management of all fleet within your responsibility.
  • Good housekeeping.
  • Co-ordination of store deliveries.
  • Ensure adherence to specific site rules and regulations.

 

The Contracts Supervisor may also carry out such other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require.

 

Candidate Requirements:

 

  • Must be able to work well with the existing and future company staff, contractors and clients and have a proactive approach to the role and its responsibilities.
  • Have strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to provide support and advice, with the capability to deliver both induction and H&S training are essential.
