As an Officer for the Council’s Job Brokerage you will coordinate the work of the brokerage, managing vacancy and candidate information and delivering tailored recruitment initiatives to ensure that residents are best placed to secure jobs created through the investment, regeneration and growth in the borough.

 

INITIAL SIX MONTH TEMP CONTRACT ONLY CANDIDATES WITH RELEVANT RECRUITMENT OR JOB BROKERAGE EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED 

To enable the delivery of a free-to-use, professional recruitment service to employers which manages preferential routes into work for Croydon residents;

 

  • To work with employers to collate and manage information on their immediate recruitment requirements;
  • To collate and manage information from providers and Council services to source Croydon suitable residents to be matched into vacancies sourced from employers; 
  • To implement and manage preferential training and recruitment routeways to work for residents – ensuring that employers and residents have up to date information about events and vacancies;

Essential knowledge:

 

  •  Understanding of the key issues facing the recruitment industry, including skills shortages and training methods;
  •  Knowledge of the recruitment processes required by a range of employers;
  •  Understanding of the barriers faced by disadvantaged groups in accessing employment, and ways in which these can be addressed and overcome
