Ruth Ayree, recently completed the Croydon Works, ‘She Constructs’ training programme. The She Constructs training programme is a free traineeship designed for women looking to gain greater insight into the world of construction, exposing you to the number of different job opportunities available within construction industry.

“I heard about the training programme and Croydon Works, through Thornton Heath Job Centre. I saw a flyer about supporting women into construction and decided to find out what it was about. I was able to enrol onto the She Constructs course, and had help with interview and CV writing techniques. I completed my Level 1 and also gained experience working on a construction site, through the work experience placement.

The Job Brokerage Officers were very helpful and encouraging, the team worked hard to satisfy my requirement. I would highly recommend Croydon Works to friends and family who are looking for work”
