Rufin - Cleaning Supervisor

"Croydon Works continues to be our ‘go-to’ when recruiting team members for cleaning positions. Over 90% of our staff both live and work within the Croydon Borough and we are extremely proud of this high percentage.

When a vacancy became available we contacted Chris at Croydon Works for potential candidates. We interviewed various people and one in particular stood out! Rufin Bounkazi Sambi.

Rufin began working with us back on 29th June 2023 and was originally employed as an evening mobile cleaner where he worked with a team to clean the libraries around the Croydon Borough.It was immediately apparent that Rufin had exceptional organisational skills, was diligent, conscientious and had the potential for career progression.

When one of our supervisor positions became vacant in November 2023 we decided to offer Rufin the opportunity to develop in his career with us. The position was to supervise a team of 16 cleaners in the main 12-storey Council building. This is a challenging position where priorities change frequently in this prestigious building. Thankfully Rufin accepted the position and has taken to the role perfectly. He is thoroughly enjoying his new responsibilities and takes onboard the guidance we offer with enthusiasm and willingness.
