Deandra - Project Coordinator

I was already familiar with Croydon Works, as I often liaised with them for meaningful opportunities for my service users, when I worked as a Program Development Manager for a homeless charity. I found the team helpful and supportive in wanting the best for their clients. 

It came the time where I was looking at the opportunities myself during the tough times of 2020 and I got a role working in a completely different field. Chris was enthusiastic about the role and gave me the inspiration I needed to go for a new challenge.

Fast forward one year and I'm more confident than ever searching for a perfect role that encompass my unconventional career experience and skills. Along came The Skill Mill supervisor role in partnership with Croydon Council. 

An amazing opportunity that solidified my experience working in the construction industry blending it beautifully with youth empowerment. I felt that this role came at the right time and went for it. 

It has been a pleasure working with Croydon Works as they have really been on a journey with me and am grateful of the opportunity they have provided.
