Dan joined the council as a data analyst in September last year, also as part of the 100 in 100 Apprenticeship campaign. He quickly established himself as an indispensable member of the external funding team, delivering high quality data analysis to guide decision making and strategy work. Rahima Begum, external funding team manager said: "In the team 'doing a Dan' has come to symbolise 'the act of finding a ferociously clever way of doing something that either: saves a lot of time, creates something very useful, or uncovers something deeply profound.'"
Since he joined, Dan has worked on a number of exciting data projects including the Inclusive Growth Index (IGI), a major experimental data project. He works closely with the project lead, Alessandra Coda, external funding officer, who said: "Dan's contribution to the development of the IGI has been invaluable."
More recently, Dan developed Croydon’s Sector Resilience Index, which has been instrumental in providing a snapshot of our business sectors during lockdown and was very well received by senior management.
Rahima added: "He is an absolute pleasure to work with and we are genuinely excited by the prospect of innovating and creating with him over the coming months."
