Level 2 Gym Instructor Pathway

Fully funded by Croydon Works & Palace for Life Foundation this course will run over 4 weeks; Monday 3rd to Thursday 27th of March (two days online and one day classroom/gym-based learning)

You will learn everything it takes to be a qualified Level 2 Gym Instructor including a guaranteed interview for live vacancies with Pure Gym and Fitness First upon completion of the programme. 

This is an excellent opportunity if you wish to progress to the Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification

The course covers the following units:

• Anatomy and Physiology for Exercise
• Maximising the Customer Experience in a Gym Environment
• Supporting Client Health and Well-Being
• Conducting Client Consultations and Gym Inductions
• Planning and Reviewing Gym-Based Exercise Programmes
• Instructing and Supervising Gym-Based Exercise Programmes

The qualification is delivered over four weeks using a blended approach with a combination of remote and face-to-face sessions to maximise the learning experience and ensure that learners receive the best support possible.

Learners need to fill in the portfolio of evidence and pass practical assessments in the gym to become qualified.

Eligibility:

• Not in paid employment
• Aged 18-35
• Living in the Borough of Croydon
• Serious about working in the Fitness Industry
• Able to travel to Elephant & Castle once a week 

PLEASE NOTE:

You will have to attend an induction session on either Friday the 21st or Friday the 28th of February.

The in-person classroom and gym day will take place at LSBU Active, London Road Hub, 116 London Rd, Elephant and Castle, London SE1 6LN
