Customer Service Advisors - EMPLOYMENT PATHWAY

Looking for an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of Croydon residents, whilst also gaining experience of working across Croydon’s Housing directorate? Croydon Council’s Housing contact centre manages resident’s housing enquiries and repairs requests, in particular. We are looking for caring and motivated Customer Service Advisors, who will be responsible for delivering a responsive and helpful service to Croydon housing residents.

 

This is an EMPLOYMENT PATHWAY.  A customer service training course will be held from  22-24 Jan, to understand the principles of good customer service. Successful completion of this course will lead to a City and Guilds Level 1 Certificate and a guaranteed initial telephone interview. Candidates successful at this interview stage will then be invited to attend a further assessment event.

Library Support Assistant - Saturdays

From April 2025, Croydon Libraries will be operating a new service model. To deliver this we are looking for people who have a passion for customer service and for working as part of a team delivering Croydon’s library services directly to our customers.

 

This will include providing high-quality customer service, supporting the delivery of activities and events and assisting customers with accessing online information and other resources. You will also be promoting all services to a wide range of customers.

 

Working Pattern: Permanent 2 x Full-time 36 hours per week and Permanent 1 x part-time 18 hours per week – these posts will be frontline in libraries but will include some outreach activities. Fixed-term (1 year) 2 x Full time 36hours per week

 

Each post will have a set working pattern and will include alternate Saturdays. Libraries are currently open 10-6 Monday to Friday and 9-5 Saturday. All positions will require working full days
