The Evening Supervisor role supports the Account Manager for Bernard Weatherill House. This is a key role in ensuring the day-to-day supervisory and support required to deliver our contractual obligation.

 

The role will be responsible for delivering high levels of cleaning services and performance whilst adhering to contractual and commercial requirements.

 

Previous commercial and supervisory experience is essential. 

 

Hours: 25 hours a week - Monday to Friday – 4 pm to 9 pm 

Location: Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA

Salary: £13.77 per hour (paid fortnightly) - increasing to £14.51 from the 1st April.

 

The position becomes available towards the end of February.

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

Principle Accountabilities:

 

  • To effectively implement Health & Safety procedures and practices to industry-leading standards.
  • Locally ensure that consumables and materials are being used correctly.
  • To ensure customer satisfaction by promoting the highest levels of service delivery and workmanship, in accordance with Chequers & Croydon Council quality standards.
  • To carry out regular audits of the office spaces across the building.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • To supervise the site team in accordance with Churchill values.

 

Communication and Working Relationships

 

  • Operations Manager, Account Manager, Council Stakeholders, Croydon Council managers & personnel.

 

Employee management

 

  • Ensure Return To Work forms are completed on the day the staff member returns.
  • Record and manage staff annual leave ensuring cover is provided at all times.
  • Ensure staff hours are recorded accurately by comparing the signing-in book with the Proximity Pass record held by Security.
  • Ensure the signing-in book held by the Cleaner's cupboard on level -1 is completed correctly.
  • Ensure the staff sign out correctly at their designated times either 7pm, 8pm & 9pm depending on their shift pattern.
  • Monitor and raise any HR concerns in relation to staff to the Account Manager.
  • At the end of working day the Supervisor is to lock the cleaning cupboard and hand the key to Security once all staff have left.

 

 Service delivery

 

  • Delivery of service to the contractual specification.
  • To communicate effectively, maintain customer relationships and work as part of team.
  • Prepare cleaning trollies for the staff and make sure they are stocked in readiness for the evening team’s arrival.
  • Stock control – ensuring adequate consumables are ordered via the Account Manager
  • Dilute chemicals in preparation for use by staff.
  • Audit cleaning cupboards on the floors to ensure they are clean, tidy and contain no chemicals under the COSHH regulations.
  • Deal with any reactive jobs when necessary and mobilise staff as needed.
  • Constant rotation of visiting floors auditing the staff and picking up anything necessary.

  • Deliver regular Tool Box Talks as provided.
  • Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times.
  • Ensure staff comply with all relevant regulations and any updates are communicated to staff in a timely manner.
