This is a fantastic opportunity for Care Leavers and NEETs aged 18-29 to get support into employment.

 

Funded by Amazon the Springboard Fun Jobs Project from Barnados offers young people who have experienced care or other barriers to employment real support and enables them to build real-work skills via funded work experience placements.

 

Participants have to attend 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) for an 8 to 10-week training and mentoring programme which will include paid work experience at IKEA.

Eligibility:

 

  • Must be aged 18-29
  • Care leaver or NEET with barriers to employment
  • Living in the borough of Croydon
  • Not in any paid employment
  • Can commit to three days a week across a eight to ten-week mentoring programme travel and lunch will be paid for)
