Tram Cleaning Operative

Job Type: Full-time (3 months’ probation period)

Pay: £13.85 per hour Mon – Fri and enhanced rate at Weekends

Schedule:

7.5 hour shift with a 30 mins unpaid lunch break

Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm with overtime to include weekend working

Experience: cleaning: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: Croydon Tram Link Depot start and finish

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To carry out the following duties in accordance with the contract specifications or as directed by the Supervisor, and Business Manager:
• To provide cleaning and maintenance duties as requested by the Business Manager.
• To carry out all tasks with due regard to the contract specification and all legislation including Health and Safety, and personal hygiene.
• To ensure correct materials, equipment and methods are used at all times and equipment is kept clean and in good working order.
• Assemble equipment as necessary and check, clean and store machinery and chemicals safely after use and report any defects to the Supervisor/ Business Manager.
• Ensure that the Graffiti Solutions personal protective equipment is worn and used at all times during work hours and maintained in a clean condition.
• Always wear identification badge.
• Report any accident, incident or unusual occurrence, obtaining names and addresses of any witness, members of staff or public involved, relaying to the Business Manager in accordance with Company procedures.
• Attend staff meetings and training courses as directed by the Supervisor/Business Manager.
• To respond to environmental emergencies, eg snow clearing, grit laying and spillage clearing.
• General administration relating to:Accurate completion of daily work report sheets, with the use of digital photography as evidence of work completed if required.
• The Cleaning Operative may also carry out such other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

• At least one year of commercial cleaning experience preferred
• High standard of personal presentation
