MAIN DUTIES:
- Take responsibility to make sure all dietary requirements are catered for and clearly communicated to the teams:
- Prepare and cook age-appropriate food for all the children on a daily basis, ensuring a healthy and balanced menu is served: breakfast, snacks, lunch and afternoon tea.
- Safe environment: - Keep kitchen and eating area clean and tidy and maintain a high standard of hygiene adhering to internal and external requirements (protocol)
- Support, promote and implement policies and procedures and to work in partnership with the nursery team
- To attend staff meetings and Training (Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, Safeguarding and First Aid) as required
Ideal candidate should have
- Experience in a similar role (a plus)
- Understanding of Allergens and Allergies
- Ability to work calmly in challenging situations
- Working knowledge of EHO and Health and Safety
- Food Safety CIEH L2 or above or equivalent – This must be passed on the 1-2 day in the post
Hours: three/ two days per week @ 8 hours per day hours
Start time 8am – 4pm
Hourly rate £11.50 -,£12: starting salary.
