The role will be to work alongside our complex needs teams providing specialist support to employers who we work with and partner. You will work in a hybrid manner combing office working with community engagement and a proportion of home working. You will work closely with a senior employment advisor and lead on employer engagement and partnership activities promoting our range of services and generate work placements and employment opportunities for our programme participants.

 

£28,000 (Pro Rata – Actual £16,800 starting salary) The Role is an immediate start, working 21 hours per week over 3 days to join our established team(s).

Your role will primarily involve working with new and existing employers to facilitate work placements for our supported internships. You will facilitate new opportunities for young people to gain work experience and maintain existing employer relationships leading to an increased number of paid work opportunities for our interns.

 

Purpose:

You will support our individual employment advisors and teams by engaging with local employers, promoting our services and programmes and generating employer opportunities for our participants.

To lead on the delivery of our organisational employer engagement strategy and role model best practice around employer engagement to individual workers and teams.

You will establish and maintain profitable working relationships with employers that will increase the work placement opportunities for our supported internship programmes contributing to an increase in the number of people who gain competitive employment.

  • Promoting Status Employment to our key partners, stakeholders and Employers
  • Building relationships with employers and other networks to create better opportunities for candidates.
  • Finding and securing suitable employment for candidates
  • Facilitating work placements for interns
  • Conduct workplace assessments
  • Conducting Job Analysis and employer support plans
  • Contribute to individualised in-work Support Strategies for candidates
  • Providing appropriate training and support for both employer and or candidates on such as workplace etiquette
  • Engage with employers and the business community to promote inclusive recruitment and make positive introductions on behalf of our candidates.
  • Facilitate reverse job fairs
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records to evidence your employer engagement activities and our support.
  • Deliver internal training, support and guidance to employment teams to increase the general level of and effectiveness of employer engagement activities taking place

 

Status Employment may undertake special projects.  You may be asked to assist with the development of such initiatives as required by the Senior Employment Consultant.

 

Undertake any reasonable duties as requested by the Chief Executive / Management Team

 

To work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required to meet the needs of the clients/service.

 

You will:

 

  • Work with internal colleagues to identify suitable employers to approach and engage with
  • Support Clients to devise a strategy to help them move forward with their employment goals.
  • Develop an effective knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 and other relevant employment legislation.
  • Have good IT skills - we use a database to capture data at every point of contact - and have knowledge of online platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams etc

Qualifications and training

 

  • Educated to A level or equivalent experience - essential
  • Willingness to complete further training and personal development - essential
  • Trained in supported approach (or equivalent) - desirable
  • Level 3 Diploma in Employability Services Sector Qualification - desirable
  • QCF in Advice & Guidance (Level 3) - desirable
