Special Need Teaching Assistant

Your main duties will be 

·         Offer support for the school’s students before, during and after their lessons.

·         Aiding students with their understanding and participation in tasks.

·         Help promote each student’s love of learning.

·         Actively taking part in team meetings.

·         Always follow the regulations pertaining to safeguarding.

·         When required, support individual’s needs, including assisting with a wide range of medical and occasionally, personal care tasks and physical support where needed (Training will be provided in giving medical care and support)

·         Working either on a 1:1 or group basis to support learning.

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for the role, the desirable candidate will have previous experience of working within a School, College or Provision. However, we will also consider candidates that have some of the following:

·         Child Care Experience – Through personal or professional experience.

·         Special needs experience – Experience through family, friends or professional environments.

·         Great interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine, caring attitude.

·         An energetic attitude where you want to get involved wherever possible.

·         Good general education levels in English and Maths

·         Flexibility with required working patterns

·         A willingness to learn and have a genuine enthusiasm to make a difference.

·         Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualifications or above preferred, but not necessary.
